Pizza Catering Packages Built Around Your Guest Count
How we structure a package
A package is a set of decisions, not a fixed tier
Every event is different, so we do not sell one fixed package and hope it fits. Instead, we build the station around three variables: how many guests you are feeding, how you want the food served, and how long the service window runs. This page walks through the formats we offer so you can compare them side by side before you request a quote.
The headcount drives how much we load and how many pies come off the deck across the service.
Chef-attended, buffet, or festival-style — each one moves guests through the line differently.
A one-hour reception and a four-hour party need different staffing and a different rhythm at the oven.
If pizza is the whole meal, we plan more pies per guest. If it shares the table, we scale back.
When you request a quote, we ask about all four so the number we send reflects your actual event, not a generic estimate.
By guest count
Guest count is the first thing we ask because it shapes everything else in the package.
Up to 50
Smaller gatherings usually run comfortably on a single station with one service window. One attendant keeps a fresh pie on the peel and hands it over the counter as guests arrive. For a birthday at home or a rehearsal dinner, this is the format most hosts choose.
50–150
Mid-sized events often need a second service period or an added attendant to keep the line moving. We stagger the bake so the counter never goes empty during the busiest half hour, and we time the second window to the moment your program opens up the room.
150 and up
Larger events may call for two stations or a dedicated flow plan so guests are not waiting. On a corporate campus or a community festival, two lines splitting the crowd at either end of the room will move more people than one long queue — we map the route with your venue contact before the day.
Service styles compared
Swipe the matrix to see how each format handles pace, staffing, and guest movement.
Many events combine formats, running a chef-attended window during the main meal and a self-serve setup for the later hours. The transition is planned in advance so the station stays staffed and stocked throughout.
What's included in every package
The oven, the line, and the people who run them
Every booking includes the wood-fired oven, the prep line, the toppings bar, and our service staff. Dough is made ahead and stretched on site, and pies are baked to order during your event. We bring the equipment, set it up, run the service, and break it down at the end.
What changes between packages is scale: how much we bring, how many people we bring, and how long we stay. Nothing on this list is an optional extra — it is what a Papa Gino's service is.
Menu depth and add-ons
The base menu covers classic and specialty Neapolitan-style pies. From there, you can add a build-your-own toppings bar, a salad course, small bites, or dessert to round out the meal. Add-ons are priced separately so you only pay for what your event actually needs.
Classic and specialty pies
Neapolitan-style pizzas baked in the wood-fired oven, with a rotating set of classics and house specialties. This is what every package starts from, and it is included in all of them.
Toppings bar and courses
A build-your-own toppings bar, a salad course, small bites, or dessert. Useful when pizza is one part of a larger spread and you want the table to carry more than pies.
Pies per guest
If pizza is the only food, we plan more pies per guest. If it shares the table with salads or sides, we scale back so nothing gets wasted and the budget goes where you want it.
Timing and service windows
A standard service window runs one to two hours, which fits most receptions and dinners. Longer events, or events with a late-night food moment, can extend the window or add a second service period. We build the schedule around your run of show so the food lands when guests are ready to eat.
If your event has a cocktail hour, a formal program, or a late arrival crowd, tell us and we will time the bake accordingly. Setup happens before your guests arrive, and breakdown waits until the last pie leaves the counter.
Pies are baked to order through the whole service window, not held under a lamp.
Comparing packages side by side
The fastest way to choose is to start with guest count, then decide on service style, then decide on menu depth. Those three answers narrow the field fast, and they are the same three questions we will ask when you get in touch.
We can often run a hybrid that covers both, with one window of each format rather than a compromise on either.
A smaller event that wants the full experience can still get the chef-attended station. The format does not shrink with the guest list.
A large event that needs speed can lean into festival-style service, with quick turnover and a line that keeps moving through the busiest hour.
There is no wrong combination as long as it fits your venue and your guests. If your venue has a tight load-in window, a restricted power supply, or a narrow service area, tell us — those constraints shape the package more than the menu does.
Customizing a package for your event
Most events end up slightly custom, and that is fine. Maybe you want a vegetarian station alongside the main line. Maybe you want the oven positioned near the bar so guests pass it on the way in. Maybe your venue has a tight load-in window and we need to adjust setup time.
Tell us the constraints and we will build the package around them. The quote you get reflects the event you are actually planning, not a list price we picked before we heard from you.
Questions before you book
Short answers to the four things hosts ask most often. If yours is not here, ask us directly — we would rather answer it now than at load-in.
Ask a QuestionDo packages have a minimum guest count?
Minimums depend on the format and your location. Smaller private parties can often be arranged with fewer guests than large corporate events. Contact us with your headcount and we will tell you what is possible for your date.
Can I mix service styles in one event?
Yes. Many events run a chef-attended window during the main meal and switch to a self-serve setup later. We plan the transition so the station stays staffed and stocked throughout.
What if my guest count changes after I book?
Tell us as soon as you know. Guest count affects dough, toppings, and staffing, so an accurate number helps us plan. We can usually adjust within reason before the event.
Is the toppings bar included or an add-on?
The toppings bar is part of our standard setup. Menu depth and specialty options can be expanded as add-ons depending on what you want to serve.
Pick the event, then pick the package
The same oven and the same toppings bar serve every occasion. What changes is the crowd, the room, and the pace. These pages walk through the format that fits each one.
- Weddings & Private Parties Receptions, rehearsal dinners, and backyard celebrations where guests linger.
